RBT- Registered Behavior Technician
Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
About the Role
Alma Behavioral Solutions is looking for a compassionate and engaging Registered Behavior Technician or behavior therapist to support young children with autism through high-quality ABA therapy. In this role, you will work directly with children ages 1 to 7 on the autism spectrum, helping them build meaningful skills that support communication, play, independence, social interaction, and daily life.
As an RBT, you will follow individualized treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA or clinical mentor. You will help create a fun, safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where children can grow at their own pace.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement ABA therapy programs and treatment goals as directed by the overseeing BCBA or clinical mentor
- Support children in developing language, play, social, coping, and self-help skills
- Work specifically with children ages 1 to 7 on the autism spectrum
- Collect accurate data and complete session notes according to company policies
- Communicate with parents and caregivers about the child’s progress during the day
- Follow behavior plans, program updates, and BCBA feedback with flexibility and professionalism
- Protect client dignity by maintaining a compassionate, respectful, and child-centered environment
- Create a playful, welcoming, and engaging learning space for every child
Compensation and Growth
For this position, Alma Behavioral Solutions offers a competitive wage of $17 to $29 per hour, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week may qualify for health benefits.

Requirements
To be successful in this behavior therapist role, you should be patient, compassionate, reliable, and comfortable working closely with young children. A strong RBT is playful, observant, and able to build trust while responding to each child’s needs in the moment.
In addition, the following are preferred or required:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field
- RBT certification strongly recommended
- Experience in behavior therapy or child development
- Understanding of ABA therapy models preferred
- Previous experience working with children
- ABA experience preferred but not required
- Strong collaboration skills
- Clear communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
